The Bastion® Patrol delivers proven ballistic protection purpose-built for patrol officers and daily duty wear. Sharing the same trusted shell geometry, NIJ IIIA protection, and aluminum shroud as our flagship Bastion® helmet, the Patrol model features precision-engineered black resin SlideLock™ rails—making it lighter and more accessible while maintaining full accessory compatibility.
Made in the USA and pressed in the same facility as the original Bastion®, the Patrol model ensures the greatest peripheral vision and tactical mobility of any ballistic helmet in its class. The clipped corners and rear arch allow you to enter the prone position and shoulder your rifle without removing the helmet, while the raised contour above the ears ensures you can perform any task without breaking the seal around your ear protection.

The solid aluminum NVG mount shroud is designed to accommodate a Wilcox™ G24 optical mount. With three integrated anchor points to receive concealed bolts from the backside, the Bastion® Patrol shroud presents a cohesive no-snag design that is unparalleled in its class. SlideLock™ Side Rails - Black Resin
Mount your mission-critical accessories in the duty-proven black resin SlideLock™ rails. Combining reverse dovetail, MLOK™, and bolt-on accessory mounting options all in a single sleek, no-snag design with a Cerakote® finish, SlideLock™ is compatible with the full range of helmet accessories. The precision-engineered black resin construction reduces overall helmet weight for extended wear comfort during patrol shifts while maintaining the structural integrity needed for daily duty use.
Exterior Hook & Loop System
The Bastion® Patrol exterior hook & loop system enhances the helmet function while paying tribute to its namesake, the distinctive and timeless fortress bastions seen throughout history. Secured using 3M™ mil spec adhesive, the Bastion® Patrol hook and loop system is designed to withstand the most extreme weather conditions with excellent coverage in key locations for full outfitting, with or without a helmet cover.
4-Point Retention Harness
Inside the Bastion® Patrol ballistic helmet, the 4-point retention harness with chin strap can be adjusted by one hand to fit as needed in the field without removing the helmet. For more significant adjustments the harness can be repositioned securely to a blanket of interior molded hooks, making it easily adjustable to suit the operator's needs without tools.
Memory Foam Pad Suspension
The Bastion® Gen 3 memory foam pads work to create the most comfortable ballistic helmet you've ever worn. 7/8" (22mm) thick and exceeding threat level IIIA requirements, they were engineered to protect from concussions on severe impact. Each pad is layered with ultra soft open cell memory foam and a high-density shock absorbent closed-cell base, and enclosed in a soft breathable satin-like outer layer with a hook & loop backing for convenient repositioning inside the helmet. The Bastion® Patrol ballistic helmet can be worn all day without fatigue.
Patrol-Ready Mounting Platform
The Bastion® Patrol combines a machined aluminum NVG shroud with black resin SlideLock™ rails—reducing overall helmet weight for extended patrol shifts without sacrificing accessory compatibility. The black resin rails on the Bastion® Patrol carry a 10-year warranty from manufacturing defects, while the machined aluminum rails on the standard Bastion® include lifetime replacement for any reason. Both are engineered for daily duty use; the lifetime warranty on aluminum rails reflects their indestructible nature under extreme tactical stress.
If your operational requirements change, Bastion® Patrol owners can upgrade to aluminum SlideLock™ replacement rails at any time.
Can I upgrade my Bastion® Patrol rails to aluminum later?
Yes. The Bastion® Patrol uses the same rail mounting system as the standard Bastion®, which means you can purchase aluminum SlideLock™ replacement rails at any time and install them yourself. This gives you the flexibility to start with the Patrol model and upgrade components as your needs or budget evolve.

I'm currently deployed. Can you ship to an APO?
Yes. Please note that shipping to a military base or U.S. embassy overseas is still considered an export, so it is subject to the same ITAR/EAR constraints as a regular export. However, in most cases it is not a problem shipping to deployed military.
